Scrumpies of Mayfair Knicker Review

Image
Hey everyone Last week I was sent a pair of Scrumpies Knickers to try out and review! Below I have included a few pics and my thoughts on the knickers for you all to read. Enjoy. "Scrumpies of Mayfair was founded by British husband and wife team Vicki and Ian who both retired early from successful careers as international corporate lawyers to fulfil their long held ambition of bringing alive the Scrumpies’ dream. Their vision for Scrumpies of Mayfair was to turn an everyday essential into a thing of beauty. Scrumpies’ knickers are intended to be miniature works of art – as beautiful and collectable as fine jewelry." (-Scrumpies of Mayfair) Initially I was very impressed with the packaging of the knickers which speaks high-end luxury. They came in a turquoise blue box and were packed carefully especially where the charm was kept. The knickers were displayed nicely and the whole box means that the product is kept very well protected. I love the idea of the design o

Quick Update and Hello

Hey everyone. I am so sorry I have been away from the blog and Twitter recently. Things have been very busy for me at the moment as I just started my new job this week so have been putting my energy elsewhere. Sorry! I will be back soon though..yay! However, I feel that it is important for me to be honest with you all and myself. Truth is I have not been coping very well at all over the past three weeks. Unfortunately I am going through a difficult time and this has triggered my anxiety and depression. It is the worst timing ever as I am trying so hard to carry on as best I can especially being in a new job. As you can imagine it has been a real struggle and this week has felt like the longest ever. Thankfully the place where I have started working seems really cool and all the people I have met are all genuinely really nice people.....but I only keep telling myself all of the negative things. For example, I keep telling myself that I don't deserve this new job or that I will nev

ANXIETY Self-care: Making Time for You! Part One

Image
It is so easy to forget about looking after yourself when you are so busy looking after others. Mixed with working and studying it can be a challenge to take time out and give yourself some self-care and TLC. I have put together this blog post to give you some ideas of how you can relax and unwind to give yourself the treatment which you totally deserve. Some of these ideas require little effort but can instantly change your mood and bring happiness to your day. This is mostly aimed at those suffering with anxiety and depression but I believe that EVERYONE should make time for themselves. Enjoy the read and I hope you find this blog post interesting. . . 1. Yoga or meditation This has been one of the best things ever for me! I started yoga in March around about the time my anxiety and depression got really bad again. At this point I had also started to see a counsellor and she recommended yoga and meditation to me. There are lots of groups and classes you can join although the

T-Zone Charcoal & Bamboo Self Heating Mask

Image
Recently I was lucky enough to attend the Bloggers Festival in London organised by Scarlett Events. T-Zone were one of the many brands who attended the event. The T-Zone stall was one of favourite’s as those hosting were very fun, gave great information about the products and were super helpful. I picked up a sample of the self-heating mask and I used it for the first time yesterday evening.  I was impressed with how much product is included in each sachet, I actually only used half as I felt that this was enough for me to work with. I splashed my face thoroughly with warm water first before massaging the mask into my skin. The self-heating mask felt so soothing and relaxing on my face and the more you massage the product the more it heats up. I really worked the face mask into my skin and left it for a few minutes just to work its magic. The mask is not designed to dry, harden or peel-off so once the time is up you just need to wash it off with warm water.  After washing t

MUOTD - Urban Decay Heat: My Makeup Look

Image
Heeeey everyone Sorry for the late blog post. Things have been super busy for me lately so it has been difficult trying to squeeze in time to add to my blog…sorry! Anyway, just thought I would share my makeup of the day with you all. I decided to go heavy and use red and orange shades from the Urban Decay HEAT palette. I am so in love with this palette and cannot believe I did not buy it sooner. I purchased it about two weeks ago from London (House of Fraser) and I have only just used it. All of the shades are so beautifully pigmented and they really compliment my skin tone so I am delighted! If you have not tried the HEAT palette yet then I really recommend you do! Go and check it out at your local store if you can. Unfortunately I live in a town where it is difficult to get your hands on good makeup, hence why I have to travel out of town or order online :( Hope you like this look and enjoy the pictures. List of shades used: - Lumbre - He Devil - Dirty Talk - Scor

Bloggers Festival 2017

Image
This weekend I had the opportunity to attend the annual bloggers festival which was organised by Scarlett Events. The event took place in Conrad London St.James and ran from 2pm to 5pm. Initially I had no one to attend the event with, however using the power of Twitter I made a new friend called Pip and we decided to meet outside the hotel and go to the bloggers festival together. Pip was so lovely and kept me company the whole time! She was great fun and I am so glad that we connected via Twitter and have now had the opportunity to meet in real life. Please check out Pip on Twitter, she blogs about beauty, fashion and travel: @pipduma When we arrived at Conrad we were directed downstairs to where the main event was being held. On arrival we had our names checked off the guest list and we were greeted with Prosecco. Pip and I left our bags and jackets in the cloak room which was perfect as I had been naughty and brought makeup from Urban Decay beforehand - this was weighi

Music Video Makeup for Model Aman Mudhar

Image
Hey friends! So recently I had the exciting opportunity to work with a new model called Aman Mudhar. She is new to the industry and has been featured in three music videos so far. Aman works in mostly Bollywood and Asian music videos but I know she would like to have the opportunity to work in other areas as her experience grows. Aman is beautiful both inside and out and she is such a great person to work with. I am always able to try out new looks with her as she is easy going and I know the type of makeup she likes.  The makeup I did for Aman is to be featured in the Dr Zeus, Benny Dhaliwal and Ikka music video which is to be released at the end of the month. I am so excited to see what the shots of the makeup look like in the music video. I have not seen any previews yet but Aman has seen a few and she said it looks AMAZING!!! As you can imagine I am so  so so so excited (as I keep on saying), when the video is released I will be sure to include shots and a link to the fu

Jo Malone - The English Oak: Fragrance Review

Image
I was so excited when I received the new Jo Malone fragrances through the post this week. There are two new scents available: English Oak & Hazelnut and English Oak & Redcurrant. The first scent I tried was the English Oak & Hazelnut which was pleasantly surprising. The scent was indeed strong and very 'outdoorsie' as the heavy scent of oak really does come through. Once the scent has been on the skin for a couple of minutes then you can start to notice the hazelnut. Jo Malone intended for this scent to be earthy, enticing and enchanting and I honestly think it ticks all of the boxes. This fragrance is strong and I would wear it on a night out or on a date night rather than work. The lasting time is amazing!!! I put the fragrance on at 8am and by 9pm I could still smell the lush English Oak & Hazelnut on my skin.  The English Oak & Hazelnut cologne retails for £44.00 - (30ml) or £88.00 - (100ml) The second scent I tried was the English Oak an

BHCosmetics Makeup Brushes Review

Image
I have been after some new makeup brushes for a while but in all honesty I did not want to spend heaps of money on them, so when I came across the BHCosmetics brushes in TKMaxx I knew I had to snap them up. I purchased the Sculpt and Blend 10 piece brush set for an amazing £9.99, such a bargain! Each brush came packaged carefully in a plastic sleeve and first impressions of them were very positive. I found these brushes absolutely amazing, honestly they are so easy to work with. They blend beautifully and the actual quality of the brushes in terms of the brush hair is awesome. I cannot believe I had never tried these brushes before. The next set of BHCosmetics brushes I intend to purchase are the eyeshadow brushes. I really do think these brushes are fantastic value for money and I highly recommend them to makeup lovers. They are great for self taught makeup artists like me and I cannot wait to use these on my clients!
