This weekend I had the opportunity to attend the annual bloggers festival which was organised by Scarlett Events. The event took place in Conrad London St.James and ran from 2pm to 5pm. Initially I had no one to attend the event with, however using the power of Twitter I made a new friend called Pip and we decided to meet outside the hotel and go to the bloggers festival together. Pip was so lovely and kept me company the whole time! She was great fun and I am so glad that we connected via Twitter and have now had the opportunity to meet in real life. I was so excited when I received the new Jo Malone fragrances through the post this week. There are two new scents available: English Oak & Hazelnut and English Oak & Redcurrant. The first scent I tried was the English Oak & Hazelnut which was pleasantly surprising. The scent was indeed strong and very 'outdoorsie' as the heavy scent of oak really does come through. Once the scent has been on the skin for a couple of minutes then you can start to notice the hazelnut. Jo Malone intended for this scent to be earthy, enticing and enchanting and I honestly think it ticks all of the boxes. This fragrance is strong and I would wear it on a night out or on a date night rather than work. The lasting time is amazing!!! I have been after some new makeup brushes for a while but in all honesty I did not want to spend heaps of money on them, so when I came across the BHCosmetics brushes in TKMaxx I knew I had to snap them up. I purchased the Sculpt and Blend 10 piece brush set for an amazing £9.99, such a bargain! Each brush came packaged carefully in a plastic sleeve and first impressions of them were very positive. I found these brushes absolutely amazing, honestly they are so easy to work with. They blend beautifully and the actual quality of the brushes in terms of the brush hair is awesome. I cannot believe I had never tried these brushes before. The next set of BHCosmetics brushes I intend to purchase are the eyeshadow brushes. I really do think these brushes are fantastic value for money and I highly recommend them to makeup lovers. They are great for self taught makeup artists like me and I cannot wait to use these on my clients!
